The project comprises reconstruction of a 4-storey residential building in Tsar Kaloyan Str. No 5, Sofia. The building is a monument of culture.
The present reconstruction envisages the preservation and restoration of the authentic look of the building, which has an important meaning for the creation of the appearance of this central region of Sofia. The existing building is 4-storey with one mansard floor and the project envisages the construction of a new roof with mansard in two levels. The structure is monolithic reinforced concrete with columns, beams and slabs. The roof is sloped, tile-covered and part of it is designed like an open terrace.
The construction of a scenic lift in the internal court is envisaged. It will connect the basement and the three shopping floors and will reach the fourth floor, which is the first residential floor. The facades will be treated with plaster in three colors, underlining the shaping above the first floor, and includes decorative frames round the openings and decorative cornices above the first and the fourth floors.
